  If you have problems with accents, here some explanations on the Gedcom files and how they are exported by the programs of genealogy.

The programs of genealogy export under 3 different formats:

format ANSI
format ANSEL
format OEM

To correctly publish your data on Genlink.org you must export in ANSI

You will find at the beginning of your file GEDCOM a line which indicates the format of export like below:

0 HEAD
1 SOUR HEREDIS 5 PC
2 TOWARDS 5.0
2 NAME HEREDIS PC
2 CORP PHM
3 Swiss ADDR
3 PHON (41) 76 407 31 21

If your Gedcom file indicates an export ANSEL or OEM  you must use utility CONVANSEL to convert with format ANSI your GEDCOM file.
